Facts About Cranford and London!  Cranford has over 1000 students and very few of them ride bikes!  Hounslow schools have travel plans which encourage safer and healthier ways to travel to school but no-one knows about them!

What we can do to help? To help reduce pollution, we can……  Walk more often to school  Take buses instead of cars  Consider riding a bike to school

What are we going to do to improve facilities? New lockers for year 7 Increase CCTV around school and improve lighting Buy bike racks and improve the bike shed to house 30 bikes instead of 12

People that will help Safe Cycling Officer Sue Guichard from the London Borough of Hounslow Cranford PE department will set up a level 2 course to train 6 cyclists on local roads each half term

Figures From Cranford 0% cycle 34% car 40% walk 26% bus 0% train/undergroun d

The Meeting! We had a meeting with Mark Frost who is the Hounslow School Travel Advisor and we got some interesting figures and facts. 24% of students would like to cycle but don’t feel safe In the next travel plan, we will ask the council to improve and increase the cycle routes to school.
