2013 and beyond? 2013 Budget – Diocesan Synod in November 3% parish share rise 95% collection rate 2% increase in stipends/ salaries 12 stipendiary vacancies – slight increase Clergy housing repair/minor improvements Beyond 2014 things are less clear. Clergy stipends rise. Clergy housing / Number of curates Clergy pension – Big deficit Collection rate of parish share DBF deficits and restore reserves

Parochial Fees What has changed? Level of fees – now set for 2013 & 2014 Incumbents fee will be a DBF fee from 1 Jan 2013 Similar to assigned fees PCC fee – clarification of what is an “extra” Extras must be a genuine choice Things like heating, vergers, organist, choir, bells, service sheets But not administration, lighting, building costs DBF policy on amount retired clergy are paid 80% of DBF fee. We recommend PCC acts as our agent for this.
