A View In the Eyes of Aziza Essa By: Faith Jackson

So what is her work all about? Aziza is an artist whose work focuses on emotions, physical constraints and experiences. Structure and chaos are relevant to her work. Structured and predictable marks stand in dynamic relationship to the marks formed out of chaos. They reflect movement and fluidity.

"Bismillah Circular" 20x25" Triple Primed deep edge canvas.

"Turbulence" 28x40" Triple Primed deep edge canvas

"Colour Clash" 24x48" Triple Primed

More than just the arts? Her work has also inspired Jay-z’ s album cover for the blueprint three

Additional information Her work not only attracts the eye, but also captures the mind - visual, cognitive and emotional. It takes the expression of violent and non-violent feelings in a head on fashion. She uses oil paint to convey subtle, powerful, but also everyday emotions - "the joys of life, frustrations of life, even vices of life".
