Thankful To God  Before thanking anyone else  For our lives – Eccl. 5:18-20  For all He has done & continues to do – 1 Chron. 16:8-13  Remember that nothing we have is only of ourselves!

For Grace  Unmerited favor- giving good things when they are undeserved  This is salvation – Eph. 2:4-9  Because of our sins – Rom. 5:6-11  He also gave us His Word, the Church, prayer, and, well, EVERYTHING – Rom. 8:31-39

For Mercy  Withholding judgment/punishment when it is deserved  This is forgiveness – Titus 3:3-7  God is merciful & longsuffering – Ezra 9:10-15  More than just righteous judgment – James 2:10- 13

Conclusion Be thankful for food, family, and good health. But remember that there are far greater blessings we have from the Lord! His grace is shown by giving His Son for us, and His mercy is shown in that our transgressions may be forgiven. Praise God! Be thankful not just in words, but in deeds!
