This famous Marian sanctuary has been attracting a lot of pilgrims This famous place took its name from the linden tree. Because for a long time at this point linden tree, which appeared in the figure of the Virgin Mary with a Child, was spreading. Święta Lipka Święta Lipka – this is also a historic monument of an outstanding value listed as the one of the most magnificent objects of the late baroque in Poland. The architectural complex consisting of a church, cloisters and a monastery has preserved rich and varied ornamentation in an almost unchanged state. The ornamentation consist of stone and wooden sculptures, wall and canvas paintings, goldsmiths’ and wood-carvers’ objects together with artistic blacksmith work and ironwork masterpieces in such abundance that can seldom be encountered anywhere.

In the very heart of Mazurian forests we can find the ruins of Adolf Hitler's war headquarters. It’s a hidden town in the woods consisting of 200 buildings: shelters, barracks, 2 airports, a power station, a railway station, air-conditioners, water supplies, heat- generating plants and two teleprompters.
