Sighi ş oara is a UNESCO protected town and from 1999 it is a part of the world-treasure.

In Eastern Europe, Sighi ş oara is one of the few fortified towns which are still inhabited.

Since 1992, every July, Citadel of Sighi ş oara holds a medieval festival in perfect harmony with the town's profile.

Sighi ş oara Medieval Festival turns clocks back 750 years.

The Festival has everything: exhibition of medieval costumes

medieval fights, knights' initiations

death sentencing, processions, lost hero cremation

plays with medieval profile

medieval music, medieval dances

concerts with specific music.

Sighi ş oara Medieval Festival gathers every year visitors.
