Armenia Armenia is located in the middle east right above Iran and to the right of turkey.

Who was killing who? The Gov. was killing off the Armenian people who were the minority of the country. Viewers discretion is advised !!!

Armenia was under Turkish rule and the Armenians wanted more civil rights and the sultan/ government took it as a threat.

METHODS OF MAYHEM  Mass Burnings- The most infamous incident is a village of 5,000 Armenian being gathered and burned alive.  Drowning- They would most often take a boat full of women and children out into the ocean, and throw them all overboard.  Death Marches- Most often this occurred outside of the Syrian town of Deir ez-Zor. It was mostly surrounded by desert. Throughout the march the commander would encourage his men to harass, rape, and beat the Armenians trailing behind them.  Extermination Camps- It is believed there were 25 extermination camps in effect during the Genocide. Most of them were used for mass graves.

It was estimated at about 1.5 million were killed in the Armenian genocide. HOW MANY PEOPLE WERE KILLED IN THE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE?

 It started after WWI or in WHEN DID THE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE OCCUR?

 The Ottoman government killed at around an estimated 1.5 million of their Armenian subjects. HOW DOES IT FIT THE DEFINITION OF A GENOCIDE ?

 The internation community condemned the genocide. The Allied victors demanded, after the war, that the Ottoman government prosecute the Young Turks occused of wartime crimes. however, nothing was ever really done. HOW DID THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY REACT TO THE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE?
