MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS IT’s – 5 passes at O.L. including Eng/Ir & Maths(Foundation Level Maths accepted in some cases) for Level 6 & 7 courses ( plus minimum points in some colleges ie GMIT 140 points) Universities & IT’s –2 H.L C’s and passes in 4 others for Level 8 courses NUI Colleges-as above & Irish, English and a 3 rd language.(exceptions) Maths is not required for all courses.(check prospectuses) Foundation Level Maths accepted in many colleges now, but not for courses where Maths is a requirement ie Engineering, Nursing etc

STATEMENT OF COURSE CHOICES Paper applicants should receive statement by Feb.15 th, ommissions can be added or make changes- €10 fee. On-line applicants will not get a statement, will receive CAO no. on-line and changes can be made up to March 1 st (10 euro) Only make changes if you need to add a restricted course. Check that course choices are correct May need to return an ammended statement Use CAO no. for any correspondence
CHANGE OF MIND All applicants receive a statement before May 1 st. Can change your mind on-line or by paper No fee Cannot add restricted courses at this stage
OFFER OF PLACES By post On-line Round 1- week after L.Cert. Results Round 2-early Sept. After Round 2 if vacancies still available Accept on line or by post, NOT BOTH,within specified time limit Vacant places.
