Today’s Learning Targets –I can complete research and present information to identify five important hominid groups and their location. –I will compare and contrast the key capabilities of each hominid group and the effects on their lifestyle. –I can analyze visual material to locate details and create hypotheses.

Preview Activity Think of a simple problem or challenge that you face everyday. Next, think of a tool or machine that would help you solve your problem. In your notebook P. 17, state the problem in one sentence, draw a picture of the tool or machine you would create, and give it a name. In one sentence that explains how your invention would solve the problem.
