Early Childhood Program WPS in collaboration with Worcester Community Action Council offers this opportunity for qualified students who are either enrolled in an academic theme or expressed a career interest in Early Childhood Internships sites are provided at Day Care Centers throughout the City of Worcester Quinsigamond Community College partnership enables these students to have an informational tour of the facility including Early Childhood course selection information Structure for this internship includes the WBL Plan as a Key Tool Example: 12 locations and Supervisors Specific Workplaces and Career Skills

UMASS Memorial Summer Program 2008 WPS in collaboration with UMASS Memorial 100 qualified students enroll in either an academic theme or express a career interest in Health Care will have an opportunity for a summer internship Internships are held in a variety of different departments with varied tasks Structured internship includes the WBL PLAN as a Key Tool –Example-One location- 75 Supervisors –Monitoring of Performance

College Community Connection Summer 2008 Students qualified by MCAS levels, are enrolled in the CCC program CCC sites chosen to participate are either a community site or a College site Ten sites-100 Students- offer both academics and an internship Structured internships include WBL PLAN as a Key Tool –Example- tracking of each department at each site – matching student skills to the internship – description of job tasks

Mass Supreme Judicial Court and the Mass Bar Foundation Summer 2008 Judicial Youth Corps Program Twenty qualified students in either an academics theme or expressed a career interest in Law and Government Students will hold internships in various offices in the New Worcester trail Court Structured internships include the WBL Plan as a Key Tool Example : Foundation Skills –Tasks and performance skills –Goal Setting

Massachusetts Work-Based Learning Plan Include the WBL Plan in the preparation program for students who will be experiencing an internship Meet with designated staff at school sites to review the benefits of the WBL Plan Visit student internship sites and review with designated supervisor the benefits of the WBL Plan WBL Plan offers Benefits, Values, and Relevance to WPS students and staff as well as local businesses
