Please remember to follow all cafeteria rules Be respectful in the cafeteria Use inside voices Feed your brain by eating your lunch Raise your hand if you need help or to get out of your seat Clean up after yourself-- make sure to pick up your trash from the table, seat, and floor Remove hats when you sit at your assigned table Wait for an adult to dismiss you to throw garbage away and to exit the cafeteria

Safe and Healthy Eating Sit upright when eating and try not be get distracted. Eat slowly, take small bites, and fully chew and swallow your food before talking or laughing. If you pack a lunch please avoid food items that could be difficult to chew or which could possibly cause choking. Do not to eat while walking, running, or engaging in other activities. Avoid games that involve catching a food item in the mouth or putting large amounts of food into the mouth. Remember that eating in the cafeteria should be fun and social, but eating in the cafeteria is a privilege. For those who misbehave or fail to follow these directions, cafeteria privileges may be revoked.

Playground Safety On Friday, tune into the Playground Safety video on your classroom TV- Channel 13 9:00 10:00 10:20 12:00

Playground Rules Feel free to do anything, as long as it doesn’t create a problem for anyone else or yourself Students who use the playground equipment safely will be allowed to continue to use it. For safety, play in designated, supervised areas only. Play games that are safe and respectful. Be fair to PE classes and allow them their PE time by not interrupting them. Remember to keep all personal items (toys, electronics, etc. at home, so that they don’t become lost or stolen). Food and drink is allowed in the cafeteria, only. Store all lunchboxes in the buckets, which are in the cafeteria.

SWINGS  Please sit on swings, and do not jump out of swings, twist, or swing sideways.  Taking turns, after counting to 100, will ensure that everyone gets to swing.  7-8 students are not allowed on the swings. SLIDES  Please go down the slide, feet first and one at a time.  Keep slide free from wood chips, sand, dirt, etc.

Playground Balls  Please play soccer in the grass areas.  Kickball can be played on the softball field (3-6 th )  Be respectful of our neighbors, by not playing by the fences.  For safety, please stay out of ditches, planter areas, and away from classrooms  Football and Wall ball will not be allowed to ensure the safety of all students  Classroom teachers (1 st -6 th ) will set expectations for equipment, but be respectful and return all equipment at the end of play to your homeroom teacher.  7-8 students: You may bring soccer balls, kickballs, and basketballs from home to use while at recess. Please make sure that your name/grade are written on the ball.  Balls will be collected off of the roof once a week.

CLIMBING EQUIPMENT  7 th /8 th Grade students will not be allowed to be on the equipment (this includes sitting on it).  Remember to swing across the monkey bars, one at a time.  Please do not crawl on top of the bars.  Please do not hang upside down or flip from the bars. LINING UP  Please line up as soon as the bell rings or you hear the whistle to ensure your playground time for the next day.  Wait for your teacher to pick you up or to be dismissed, one line at a time, to the café.

Dismissal and Bus Procedures Be sure to talk to your parents and know how you are getting home each day Walkers: exit using any of the 4 gates Parent pick up: only front parking lot or gate near the field (no parent pickup in bus lane) Bike riders: exit the gate near the bike racks- do not enter campus on bikes Bus riders exit near the quads that align with your bus numbers- please walk to the bus and stay on the sidewalk 1-3 quad will be busses 244, 169, quad will be busses 222, 247, 168

Stetson Hills Students, Staff, and Parents will: ~Not bully others. ~Try to help students who are being bullied. ~Include students who are left out. ~When we know somebody is being bullied, we will tell an adult at school or at home. * Please use the reporting form available in the office, cafeteria, classrooms, or library to report an incident.
