Role/Responsibilities of FAR  FAR required by NCAA at each member institution  Must be a faculty member  Appointed by the President of the College: Dr. Nancy Kleniewski upon recommendation of the Intercollegiate Athletics Board (IAB) for a three-year renewable term  Give surety to academic integrity, student athlete well-being and the integration of athletics and academics on campus  Work with and communicate information to the President, Vice President and Associate Vice President for Student Development, Athletic Director, Athletics Department, Faculty Senate, Faculty and Student Athletes.  Represent SUNY Oneonta at NCAA, SUNYAC, and FARO SUNY College at Oneonta Department of Athletics ____________________________________________________

The Oneonta Athletics Program Fast Facts  Provides support/programming to 450 student-athletes  21 varsity teams/15 head coaches  This past year 69 students were 2 sport athletes and 33 were three- sport athletes  Intramural and Recreation programming offered 13 participatory team activities supporting 22 championships (64% student body participation)  Students involved in recreation through independent offerings such as aerobic classes, kickboxing, and yoga.  108,000 entries in the fitness center last year  culture of fitness SUNY College at Oneonta Department of Athletics _________________________________________________________

Program Accountability  NCAA requires self-study every 5 years to maintain eligibility to compete. (Last self-study completed in 2008)  NCAA requires Gender-Equity Study annually.  Federal law requires EADA Report (Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act) annually to receive federal funding.
