Introduction to “Restored Coastal Habitats in Corpus Christi Bay” and CHRGIS Data Visualization  This site is complemented by the “Restored Shore and Habitat Educational Resource”  The purpose of this tutorial is to introduce key elements of this resource and guide users as they access data on the CHRGIS site. Select 2. Select “Interactive GIS Portal” from the menu on the left side of the screen. This will open CHRGIS (Corpus Christi GIS) allowing you to select and compare data sets.

First select Then click Go 3. Select “University Beach” from the pull down “ Restoration Site” menu at the top of the page then select “Go” on the Explorer Browser NOT the website. Located at the right of the URL address window. Wait a minute for the menu selections at the left to upload. Wait for menu selections to load here

4. The menu on the left shows data arranged according to date. Aerials are listed Separately from other data (Note: multiple aerial images can not be viewed simultaneously). Each date will have the following selections (subject to availability): Shoreline (MHHW) Elevation Survey Elevation Contour Sediment Sediment Contour Select desired data by clicking on box next to data Single or multiple selections from the same or different dates are allowed for all options EXCEPT Aerials Click “Refresh Map” to revise screen display after adding Data selections

5.To activate data selection for query and Identification tools select the circle next to the desired data. Only one menu selection can be active at a time. To delete a selected data from the screen view select the box next to the data and then select “Refresh Map” Select Box for Display Select circle to activate Select “Refresh Map” after adding or deleting data selections

6.Example: You want to look at the first aerial photograph after construction (August 2001) and compare the shoreline position surveys from 2001 to First: Select Box for Display of August, Aerial Select “Refresh Map” after adding or deleting data selections

6.Example: Select each subsequent date up to April Shorelines can be added or deleted to focus on shorter or longer temporal change. You may add as many shorelines as you like. First: Select Box for Display of April 2005 Shoreline (MHHW) Select “Refresh Map” after adding or deleting data selections
