 The Monticello was built, which is a mansion Jefferson built to live in.

 The Louisiana purchase was a big part of Thomas Jefferson’s presidency.

 The Lewis and Clark expedition took place during his presidency this was to explore land.

 Thomas Jefferson helped write the declaration of independence.

 Thomas Jefferson started tensions that led to war with Britain after he left office.

 Thomas Jefferson did not like slaves, however he owned 187 of his own.  Can you say ladies man? Thomas loved the woman.  He had 5 children die as infants.  He had an affair with his friends wife.  He married a slave, but never admitted to remarrying.  He died on July 4 th, 1826
