Setting This story mostly takes place in Westing Town. It is important that the story took place in Westing Town because the 16 contestants have to stay in Sunset Towers which is in Westing Town.

Sam Westing Sam is the man who was “killed” in the story. Everyone is trying to find out who “killed” him.

Crow Crow is important to the story because she is Sam Westing’s former wife and she knew a lot about Sam which will help her find the murderer.

Turtle Turtle is important to the story because she found out who killed Sam Westing.

Problem/Solution The problem in the story is that no one can find out who the murderer is. This is a problem because all of the 16 contestants want the money and they only can get the money by finding out who the murderer is. The solution is that Turtle works harder and finds out who murdered Sam. No one murdered Sam. He pretended to murder himself.
