Introduction A circle has different parts. Today, we are going to look at the following: Center Radius Diameter Circumference Arc Sector Chord Segment

Center The center of a circle is the exact middle of that circle. The center of this circle

Radius The radius of a circle is a line from any point on the border of the circle to the center point. Three radii of this circle

Diameter The diameter of a circle is a line that stretches from one side of a circle to another, running through the center point. A diameter of this circle

Circumference The circumference of a circle is the entire border of the circle. The circumference of this circle

Arc An arc of a circle is a portion of the circumference. An arc of this circle

Sector A sector of a circle is a portion of the circle bordered by two radii and an arc. A sector of this circle

Chord A chord of a circle is a line that stretches between two points on the circumference of that circle. A chord of this circle

Segment A segment of a circle is a portion of the circle bordered a chord and an arc. A segment of this circle

Congratulations! You now know the parts of a circle!
