The leatherback turtle can be found in the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Oceans, as well as the Mediterranean Sea. Adult leatherback turtles can be found in Canada and Norway and as far south as New Zealand and South America. Leatherback turtles are the only reptile known to remain active in temperatures as low as 4 degrees celcius.
