All-in-One

Desktop computer - All-in-one 1 An all-in-one PC integrates the system's internal components into the same case as the display, allowing for easier portability and a smaller footprint, especially on designs using flat panel displays. Some recent all-in-one models also include touchscreen displays.

Desktop computer - All-in-one 1 Apple has manufactured several popular examples of all-in-one computers, such as the original Macintosh of the mid-1980s and the iMac of the late 1990s and 2000s

Desktop computer - All-in-one 1 Like laptops, some all-in-one desktop computers are characterized by an inability to customize or upgrade internal components, as the systems' cases do not provide easy access except through panels which only expose connectors for RAM or storage device upgrades. However, newer models of all-in-one computers have changed their approach to this issue. Many of the current manufacturers are using standard off-the-shelf components and are designing upgrade convenience into their products.

Desktop computers - All-in-one 1 However the all-in-one form factor still requires an external power supply and must be deployed on a table or desk to use the (still separate) keyboard and mouse, making them less mobile than a laptop which can rely on power supplied by a rechargeable battery and provides a built-in keyboard plus pointing device for its user.

Desktop computers - All-in-one 1 By the early 2000s, many all-in-one designs were using flat panel displays, and by late 2012 some all-in-one models also included touchscreen displays to accommodate Windows 8.

Power Macintosh G3 - All-In-One 1 The AIO shipped in two basic configurations: a 233MHz version with a floppy drive and a 4GB hard drive and a 266MHz version with a built-in Zip drive, floppy drive, and either a Whisper personality card or an All-In-One version of the Wings personality card. Half of the AIO's case was translucent, suggesting what was to come with the IMac G3|iMac.

Homeschooling - All-in-one curricula 1 All-in-one homeschooling curricula (variously known as school-at-home, The Traditional Approach, school-in-a-box or The Structured Approach), are instructionist methods of teaching in which the curriculum and homework of the student are similar or identical to taught in a public or private school

Apple displays - All-In-Ones 1 While Apple chose to return to traditional and cheaper CRTs for its integrated display desktop line for the next 4 years, the TAM is undoubtedly the predecessor for the successful LCD-based iMac line of all-in-one desktops starting with the iMac G4 released in

All-in-One PC 1 All-in-one computers, that integrate the monitor and main PC components in one unit, are often categorized under the desktop computer umbrella, particularly if they require an external power source and separate keyboard/mouse

All-in-One PC - Decline 1 The change in sales of form factors is due to the desktop iMac moving from affordable (iMac G3) to upscale (iMac G4) and subsequent releases are considered premium all-in-ones

All-in-One PC - Comparison with laptops 1 Laptop computers, conversely, offer portability that desktop systems (including small form factor and all-in-one desktops) can not due to their compact size and clamshell design. The laptop's all-in-one design provides a built-in keyboard plus pointing device for its user, and can draw on power supplied by a rechargeable battery.

List of Macintosh models by case type - All-in-one 1 Desktop computer#All-in-one|All-in-one in the Macintosh sense means that the display is integrated in the computer case. The keyboard and mouse always remained detachable. That includes all Compact Macintoshes, the Macintosh LC 500 series and the iMac series, among others.

Chromebooks - All-in-one PCs 1 In January 2014 LG Electronics unveiled its Chromebase all-in-one with a 21.5-inch display at International CES in Las Vegas.

All-in-One 1 'All-in-One' (AIO), also known as '#-in-1', CD- ROMs or DVD-ROMs contain more than one application on the disc. Typically, this would simply be different editions of the same version. AIOs are normally created by warez groups in order to save time to download and upload software, while giving a large collection of editions at the same time. However, software companies may release AIOs themselves to high-paying customers.
