Sustainability Week 17 – 21 May 2010 All pupils were encouraged to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Assemblies were held across all year groups to promote this week.

Art & Design Pupils reflect on sustainability issues. The journey of a simple plastic cup or bottle. How it is made? How it is used? How it is disposed of? They explore and investigate new ways of re-using these materials

Health, Happiness and Wellbeing Enrichment Day Year 8 were taken off timetable for the day and instead experienced a number of workshops which were orientated around the theme of Health, Happiness and Wellbeing. A selection of the workshops included: Fitness and Wellbeing Basic Human Needs Food Hygiene and Sustainability Eat Right For Life Self Esteem and Wellbeing We also had a guest presenter Rob Wixs: Scintillate from The Sustainability Road Show who delivered one of the sessions.

HEALTHY SCHOOLS MENU COMPETION Year 8 were set the challenge of creating a healthy school menu which was then served to them in the school canteen on the Health, Happiness and Wellbeing Enrichment Day.
