Behavior Management Every teacher has a management program that should have gone home at the beginning of the year. Teachers try to focus on the positive behaviors and reinforce them. The more time teachers spend on discipline, the less time we have to teach. Teachers would like your support at home about making good choices.

Parent/Teacher Communication We feel teachers must work together as partners with parents by communicating on a regular basis to build mutual understanding and consistency for our children. Progress reports will be sent home in the middle of each nine week grading period. Parent/teacher conferences will be in September and March and will be student led.

MATH Program – lessons are created to correlate with the new Az. standards - designed to enhance student’s critical thinking and problem solving skills, while focusing on a deeper understanding of concepts. Math will take a hands-on approach and will be center based. Daily math, number of the day, and problem of the day are another supplement we use in first grade.
