MICRONESIA AIP PROJECT STATUS UPDATE Gordon Wong, FAA Civil Engineer

AIP Reauthorization On December 12, 2003, the President of the United States of America signed H.R. 2115 (FAA Vision 100 – Century of Aviation Reauthorization Act), Public Law No. 108-176, making Micronesian airports eligible for Airport Improvement Program (AIP) discretionary funds FY2004 TO FY2007.

AIP PRIORITY RANKING SYSTEM Safety (FAR Part 139 & ICAO Annex 14) Reconstruction (Airfield Pavements) Standards (Design Criteria) Capacity (Parallel TXY, RWY, etc).

ARFF VEHICLES ARFF Vehicles & Equipment for all Micronesian airports to meet equivalent FAR Part 139 AIP Grants issued FY2004 CPA assisting in bulk procurement Same vehicles throughout Micronesia Specs Advertised April/May 2005
