The Title?  Consider the adjectives used in the title of the book: “Absolutely true” and “part-time.” What is this is reference to? Junior’s internal struggle, or the struggle between Junior and the Social Norm? (Whites vs. Reds) Could it be both?  Explain your answer using quotes from the text and practice using the MLA Format!

Part-Time Indian?  When Junior is in Rearden, he feels “half- Indian” and when he is in Wellpinit, he feels “half-White.” “It was like being Indian was my job,” he says, “but it was only my part- time job. And it didn’t pay well at all.” Why does Junior feel split like this?
