About Dominican Republic With a population of of citizens. 7, 519 School Buildings in which there are 13,454 working schools. 2 o more schools could be attending in the same building and different shifts. 2,416,449 students, more than 421 computer labs, 8,000 computers, 96 virtual classrooms and 52 digital libraries

Advances Obtained in the Modernization of the Educative System Dominican Ministry of Education

Main objectives for the Modernization of the Educative Management Improve the processes of Management through a General reconstruction of the Educative System, taking the educative centers like point to begin with. To implement a process of administrative decentralization, according to settles down in the General Law of Education To take advantage of the benefits offered by the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), to support the objectives before mentioned.

Rescue and maintenance of the technological Infrastructure and connectivity. Use of modern computer tools for the automatization of the management processes. Program of continuous formation integrating the ICT like resource for education and the learning. Multiple initiatives for the application of the ITC in the processes of for Program of continuous formation integrating the ICT like resource for education and the learning. Integration of the community in the co management and sustainability of the investments of the SEE in technology. Actions for an Effective Integration of the ICT in the Educative System

Fortification of the Technological Infrastructure and Connectivity.

That makes the SEE as the Institution with the greater network of the country 600 Connected Points (Regional, Educative Districts and Centers). More than 8,000 installed computers in more than 418 computer labs. From those 418 computer labs, more than 150 with internet access. Installed 7 computers Classrooms of Video Conference direct users benefited.

Human resources and List Complete automatization of the Processes of Management of Personnel Management of Personnel from the Regional addresses. Implementation of the historical registry of the personnel of the system. Registry of the tests anti-doping within the file of the employee. Digitalization of all the physical files of the employees. Use of modern computer science tools for the automatization of the management processes.

Academic Control and Registration (RCA) Universal allocation of the National Registry of Student. Supervision and control of the academic record of the student. Automatization of the process of inscription of students. Control of attendance. Support to other programs (ILAE, Breakfast for Students at School) Efficient support for the calculation of statistical indicators (desertion, grades, age, etc.). Instrument of unification of the data bases of the educative system.
