Deployment Process One-to-one deployment process involving both parents and students. Devices were deployed individually as students enrolled in MA-TEC. Students and parents were guided through Digital Learning Handbook and forms. Students logged into devices and entered their personal information. Parents and guardians were given opportunities to ask questions and discuss 1:1 plan

Professional Development Summer 2013-School Year Summer 2014 ◦One teacher from the MA-TEC participated and completed MarshallTech4Teachers 2:1 Professional Development for MA-TEC teachers ◦2 dates in January Tech Integrationist and Media Specialist scheduled at MA-TEC on a weekly basis for additional support

Deployment Process  Apple Authentication/Student AppleID  Assessment Days in August  Deployment process continued through September

Professional Development Workshops offered at all buildings before and after school All K-4 teachers received an iPad for use in their classroom Professional Development focused on integrating iPads in one-iPad classroom Working in classrooms sharing/integrating iPad lesson ideas Tech Integrationist and Media Specialist scheduled at Park Side on a weekly basis for additional support.

Deployment Process Evening of August 25 th ◦Parents and Students attended an informational meeting to hear about the device and the deployment process ◦Completed forms ◦Questions were fielded by Digital Learning Team along with Principal Thomas Devices were deployed about 2 weeks later ◦Devices stayed in school as a trial period ◦Devices were kept in Advisory classrooms with make-shift charging stations ◦Teachers slowly started allowing devices to go home and monitored return responses

Professional Development Summer 2014 ◦Teachers in Grades 5 & 6 participated in MarshallTech4Teachers to gain knowledge and skills about using digital resources and tools ◦Additional trainings are currently being planned Refresher ◦Currently planning a refresher course for 5 th grade teachers Tech Integrationist and Media Specialist scheduled at the Middle School on a weekly basis for additional support

Deployment Process Friday deployment during holiday break, January 2 nd, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. ◦Parents and student proceed through a series of 5 stations. ◦Registration ◦Completed Forms and Purchased Optional Protection Plan ◦Caring for the Device Video (Student Created) ◦Project Summary by Supt. Monson ◦Device Deployment and Student Log-in and completed survey ◦75% of 420 devices were deployed to 9 th and 10 th grade students ◦Alternative Dates were January 9 th – 16 th ◦Parents watched Supt. Monson’s recorded presentation and Caring for the Device video and completed forms ◦Students watched Caring for Device video and logged into their device during the following lunch period ◦Nick from the IT Department spent lunch hour at the High School Media Center for troubleshooting purposes. ◦Another 70 parents attended session held at the High School during January 9-16, 2015 ◦Phone calls were made to remaining parents to schedule appointments

Professional Development Summer 2013-School Year Summer 2014 ◦Eleven teachers from the High School participated and completed MarshallTech4Teachers 2:1 Professional Development for 9 th and 10 th grade teachers ◦Half-Day training ◦3 Stations ◦OneDrive/Office 365 ◦Schoology ◦Web 2.0 tools focusing on video creation ◦2 dates in December, 2 dates in January ◦Approximately 20 teachers participated in December ◦More scheduled for January dates
