Zachary’s Student-Led Conference Welcome Mom and Dad!

In Spanish we learned these Spanish words that are el clock, la pared, la Bandera, globe, Map, un lapis, un regal, un buligrato, un cuaderno, un labor, latish, mesa, and papal-paper. The color in Spanish is red- rojo blue azul and black cafe. black, white, purple, and pink. The shape in Spanish is triangle, circle, square, trapezoid, octagon, quadrangles, rhombus, rectangle, hexagon, cube, pyramid triangle, pyramid square, sphere, cone, cylinder, prism, parallelogram, and star.

In Language Arts  I have learned about questions for example: “Are we going to do a time test?” We also learned about statements for example: I like time tests.  I also learned about plural and nouns a noun is a person, place, or thing. A plural noun is at the end of a word.  My Young Author story is about a chicken who kept on laughing. He kept on laughing in the night.

My Favorite Stories from Reading Class One of my favorite stories that I read this year was Dogzila because the mice say doggy breathe! Another story I enjoyed was Seal Surfer because my favorite character is the seal. He saved Bens life. Also the seal was swimming and learned it from his mama. My Writing Sample

In Reading  As of April 15 th, I have 57 AR points.  My comprehension is 84%.  My AR goal for the year is to reach 70 points.  A book I liked was knights of the lunch table the dodge ball and the lost an found because in knights of the lunch table the dodge ball they were planning to play dodge ball.  The best story or book I have read this year is Horrible harry the mud Gremlins because Harry Song Lee and Doug looked at the Gremlins. The story or book I liked the least this year is Little Critter books because it is by Mercay Mayer.

In Social Studies  I learned about the War of 1812and native Americans like the Iroquois, the Huron, the Potawatomi, the Ojibwa, and the Chippewa. We studied Michigan history like how we stole the land from the Native Americans. A acre of land was $1.50.

In Science  I learned about magnets. Each magnet has a south and north pole. A south and north pole attract, and south and south repel. North and north. repel too.  We studied electricity. Electricity use wires and battery. To make power. You need electricity to make power.

In Mathematics I learned about multiply, division, counterclockwise, clockwise, parentheses, math Basketball, line segment, line, intersect, shapes, base shapes, heights, zigzags, borrowing, carrying, equal shapes, units, and measuring. We studied about parentheses that comes first when it is right and left and also less than and more than.

My Goals… In the AR program I would like to have 70 points by the end of the year. I need to read more harder books so I can get more points. I want to take a 1.0 point test because I’ll gets some more points.

Strengths  One of my strengths is I am proud of this because P.E I have strong muscles to lift up heavy things.  Another of my strengths is reading I am proud of this because it is fun and I can get more AR points too!  I am good at math count on my fingers. I memorized the facts so I don’t take my time.
