Local Climate Action Groups

Transition Towns

Change and influence Transition Movement  Changing context for debate by reducing dependence and showing what’s possible  Respects time and energy it takes to build awareness and momentum to make it a whole community process – flexible and inclusive  Draws on resources from within the community – takes advantage of but not reliant on government grants  Process of mass and networked experimentation (global info sharing network guided by principles not prescriptions) Climate Action Groups  Grounded in local conversation and action  National community climate network – linking and supporting but not constraining diversity  Focussing joint energy where it counts eg major campaigns and actions
