 Reading Strategies اساليب في القراءة

 1. To discuss what is expected of us as parents, students and teachers.  2. To learn more about the DRA.  3. To practice some of the skills that my child is working on in school. 1. لمناقشة ما هو دور التلاميذ, الاهل, والهيئة التعليمية. 2. للتعريف اكثر عن امتحان القراءة DRA 3. للتمرين على بعض الاساليب والمهارات التي يتم تعلميها لاولادكم.

For Students من التلاميذ For Parents من الاهل Students will: Read 20 minutes each night. Complete homework each night. Ask yourself questions while reading. يجب على التلاميذ : القراءة لمدة 20 دقيقة كل يوم. انهاء الواجب المنزلي. طرح الاسئلة عند القراءة. Parents will: Listen to and read to their child read each night. Help with homework each night. Ask your child questions about what they read. يجب على الاهل : الاستماع والقراءة مع اولادهم كل يوم. المساعدة في انهاء الواجب السؤال عما تم قراءته.

 An individually administered reading assessment to determine reading level.  It is required by the school district to administer the DRA.  Assesses a student’s reading progress over time  Scores are given for reading engagement, oral reading fluency and comprehension  امتحان DRA يساعد في تحديد مستوى التلميذ في القراءة وذلك مطلوب من قبل المحافظة.  يساعد هذا الامتحان في معرفة ومراقبة نسبة تحسن التلميذ في الاستيعاب, الطلاقة, وحب القراءة. KindergartenL evels A-3 الروضة First Grade Levels 4-16 صف الاول Second Grade Levels صف الثاني Third Grade Levels صف الثالث Fourth Grade Levels صف الرابع Fifth Grade Levels صف الخامس Any score below 28 for a third grade student at the end of the year is considered below grade level. يعتبر التلميذ تحت مستوى الصف في حال كان التقييم تحت رقم 28

 Look at the cover and talk about what you think will happen in this story.  انظر الى الغلاف وفكر ماذا سيحدث في القصة؟ Look at the pictures and tell me what you think is happening in the story.  انظر الى الصور واخبرني ماذا يحصل في القصة ؟  Make a meaningful prediction. Ask- What do you think will happen in the story? اسئل : ماذا تعتقد سيحصل في القصة ؟

1. When reading to your child, stop periodically and say, “Let’s see if we remember what I just read. Think about who the story was about and what happened.” Do this 3 or 4 times throughout the story. 2. When reading to your child, stop and have them practice checking for understanding by saying, “I heard you say…” 3. Ask your child the following questions: Who did you just read about? What just happened? Was your brain talking to you while you read? Do you understand what was read? What do you do if you don’t remember? Now try it with your child! 1. توقف عن القراءة من حين الى اخر واسئل ولدك : من الشخصيات وماذا حدث؟ 2. كذلك الامر عندما تقرأ لولدك, توقف وعلمه ان يسأل : سمعتك تقول : اسأل ولدك ما يلي : من هم الاشخاص الذي قرأت عنهم؟ ماذا حصل الان؟ هل كان عقلك يفكر ويتكلم معك خلال القراءة؟ هل فهمت ماذا قرأت؟ ماذا تفعل ان لم تستطع التذكر؟

How can you help your child with this strategy at home? 1. Have your child read a story to you. When they are done ask them to tell you the story in their own words. 2.Make sure they retell the story in order from beginning to end Using sequence words (First, Next, Then, Last). Also, make sure they are naming the characters as they retell. Now try this with your child! كيف تستطيع مساعدة ولدك في البيت؟ 1. اسال ولدك ان يقرأ لك قصة, عندما ينتهي اسأله ان يعاود سرد الاحداث بطريقته. 2. استعمال التسلسل الذي حدثت فيه الاحداث وتسمية الاشخاص في القصة. جرب هذا الاسلوب مع ولدك الان !
