 The mission of the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University (IKBFU) is to build competitive human capital on the basis of modern technological platforms to ensure the socioeconomic development of the Kaliningrad region and Russia.  Our strategic objective is to provide human resources and technological support for the innovative development of the Russian exclave region, which embraces clusters formed in the framework of the special economic zone of the Kaliningrad region. 2

5 Main symbols of the University, shown in its logo, are a sea wave and a bridge. The region bridges economy, politics, culture, education and science of Russia and the European Union. The rising sea wave symbolizes the coastal location of the University, its progress, and sustainable development. Corporate identity of IKBFU SYMBOLS

6 Bridge represents increasing academic mobility and promotion of the Russian education and innovative technologies abroad through accomplishments of the Russian higher education and sharing traditions of European higher education; the bridge also shows a historical tie between the famous Albertina University in Koenigsberg and the University of today. On the bridge that led from the main building of the University of Königsberg "Albertina" to the Cathedral, Immanuel Kant often walked. SYMBOLS Corporate identity of IKBFU

The colours of the University logo reflect a unique role of the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University in representing the Russian system of education, science, and culture in the Kaliningrad region, advanced both literally and figuratively speaking in the European science and education space.
