We’re reorganising…  FOGLS is getting a new name and will have a fresh, more focused role as a dedicated fundraising committee.  The role of Parent Net has expanded to include the organisation of practical help for all school events.  Parent Net and the fundraising committee will be integrated parts of an expanded Communications and Fundraising Sub-committee of the Board of Trustees, with board member Julie Crombie overseeing Parent Net and the chair of the fundraising committee also on the board.

BOARD OF TRUSTEES Communications and Fundraising Sub-committee Parent Net Fundraising Committee  Maintains key lines of communication with families  Coordinates practical assistance for events of all sizes  Provides opportunities for class groups to network  Supports teachers with practical help  One class rep per class is supported by all class parents  Identifies fundraising opportunites and organises events  Works to a budget target  Team may have focused roles, eg project managers for big events, PR, marketing,, etc  Works with Parent Net to coordinate practical help for events

SITUATIONS VACANT COLUMN There are opportunities, big and small, to actively support our school. There are no attractive remuneration packages, just opportunities to connect with other parents and make a real difference to the learning opportunities for our kids. Chairperson for fundraising committee Are you the right person to lead the team in a bunch of fun new fundraising endeavours? We have the opportunity to offset our budget deficit with fundraising events of various sizes, so this is a chance for you to bring your energy, ideas, aroha, leadership and/or fundraising experience along to inspire an established team of energetic big thinkers. Members of the fundraising committee This team has evolved out of FOGLS and is a tight bunch with a sense of fun. Bring your events management, PR, marketing, think tank, leadership or other skills that might complement this team, together with your big heart for our school and positive energy. There are opportunities to specialise in what you’re good at Class reps for Parent Net We need one for every class. Could you be the volunteer Parent Net is looking for from your child’s class to take care of communications and rally the crew? Parent Net volunteers Any skills and energy you can contribute to our school will get a big welcome. We aim to share things about as much as possible. From time to time we’ll be looking for your fabulous baking, a contribution to a meal for our teachers, some help on a stall or to pour a few coffees, maybe a bit of sewing or stuff for donation – the opportunities will be varied and every little thing you do will go towards helping Grey Lynn School continue to thrive!! For more information about what is involved, please or cantact Julie Crombie (Parent Net), Jacqui Watson (fundraising committee) or Alison Munro (general) through the school
