Committees’ Decisions Summary Executive Committee Meeting – 10/23/13 Meeting ExCom Members agreed that the current funding process for the Geospatial Platform Line of Business will continue as is, i.e., funds will be collected the FY prior to the FY in which the work they support is executed. This will give the FGDC time to evaluate the levels of operational core funding required and the opportunities and types of in-kind services available and how they fit into the broader operations of the Geospatial Platform. Committees’ Decisions Summary Steering Committee – 9/12/13 Meeting SC Members approved the June 2013 meeting minutes. SC Members decided to explore the proposal to align the Homeland Infrastructure Foundation-Level Data (HIFLD) Working Group with FGDC (a draft charter in Jan). SC Members to encourage agency participation in the A- 16 Implementation Plan effort. SC Members were tasked with completing any outstanding funding agreements from their agencies for the Geospatial Platform. NGAC Webinar Meeting Meeting Outcomes: NSDI Strategic Plan DECISION: The NGAC approved a resolution endorsing the NSDI Strategic Plan. A-16/Portfolio Management Implementation Plan ACTION: FGDC will distribute the draft A-16/Portfolio Management Implementation Plan to NGAC members for review and comment in mid-January Additional details and instructions will be provided prior to distribution. NGAC Subcommittee Reports ACTION: The FGDC will incorporate the feedback and suggestions from the NGAC subcommittee reports into the development of the 2014 FGDC guidance to the NGAC. Coordination Group Meetings in 2014  2014 Meetings will alternate between webinars and in- person meetings, as previously discussed.  Afternoon sessions will be held on an as-needed basis and used for data theme lead meetings and other break-out sessions, such as discussion groups on the A-16 Implementation Plan.  The new venue for in-person CG meetings is the Department of Interior - Main Interior Building. Update on U/HDWG Appraisal Document The Users/Historical Data Working Group presented the document, Guidance on the Selection and Appraisal of Geospatial Content of Enduring Value, at the September 2013 CG meeting. Since that meeting, the authors of the document met with FGDC Secretariat staff to discuss the next steps.
