ALGEBRAIC EXPRESSIONS Step 1 Write the problem. Step 2 Substitute in the values for the unknown (variable). Step 3 Use PEMDAS (remember to go left to right). Show all steps!

Terms Algebraic Expression- A mathematical phrase involving at least one variable. Also can contain numbers and operation symbols. Coefficient- The number multiplied by the variable. Constant- The number that does not change or lose its value in an expression.
