Haïti case study Objectives of the CD Plan  Main objective : improved capacity for efficient implementation of TB and HIV Grants to ensure universal access to health care.  Specific objective 1 : Improved capacities of SRs in programmatic, financial, procurement and M&E implementation areas to ensure SR’s results in terms of indicator and financial accountability.  Specific objective 2 : Detailed assessment of MoH capacity needs and its implementation in the optic of it becoming future PR. 3 PMU – UNDP Haiti

Haïti case study Content of the CDP -Programmatic : strengthen the national strategies and processes of TB and HIV national programs -Financial : reinforce financial management of SRs -Procurement : train SRs in stock management and improve stocking conditions and quality assurance -M&E : strengthen national policies on M&E, train SRs and MoH on M&E tools, engage dialog with all partners, UNFPA, UNICEF, PEPFAR working on HIV 4 PMU – UNDP Haiti

Haïti case study Key issues and challenges  Very different SR capacity development needs  Large number of SRs for both Grants (20)  Fast turnover of staff among SRs  Limited funding not allowing to target specific SRs (NGOs) but proposing general trainings for all  Insufficient involvement of MoH. Capacity development will be important to possibly become future PR 5 PMU – UNDP Haiti
