The whole region heard of Joshua – they were all scared! Gibeon Gibeon came asking to make peace They lied: “We come from a very distant land …” It really did happened for Joshua !

Joshua Joshua did not not pray & ask God for guidance He He believed Gibeon, he made peace with them! 5other kings were very upset They They attacked Gibeon This This time, Joshua prayed to God first!

God reassured Joshua: “Do not fear them, for I have delivered them into your hands. Not one of them shall remain before you.”

Afraid, Afraid, the 5 kings & their armies fled into the forests God God sent hailstones

If the sun sun went down & the night coming, it would be hard to see Joshua prayed: “Let the sun sun stand still over Gibeon, and the moon moon over the valley of Ajalon”

So the SUN & MOON stood still for 2 days! Israel pursued and defeated the 5 kings & their armies

“The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace” (Exodus 14:14)

4) WHO WHO made the sun & moon stand still? God God created them, He made them stand still is the creator of all things, He controls everything in the universe

5) WHO WHO symbolizes the sun in this story? Our Our Lord Jesus Christ He He will “rise” “rise” and shine in our hearts if we love Him & obey His commandments
