Library Programming Mission Statement/Vision Policies/Procedures Classroom Management

Mission and Goals of the School Library Media Program 0 The mission of the library media program is to ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information. This mission is accomplished: 0 by providing intellectual and physical access to materials in all formats 0 by providing instruction to foster competence and stimulate interest in reading, viewing, and using information and ideas 0 by working with other educators to design learning strategies to meet the needs of individuals 0 Information Power: Guidelines for School Library Media Programs

To meet these goals we need policies and procedures in place. This includes our classroom management.

Let’s discuss today some of the ways we keep our libraries inviting, efficient, and conducive to learning. Basically, how do we do what we do…and still keep smiling!!
