Location Lived on the Plains

Shelter Earth lodges made of grass, mud, and bark Used teepees when hunting buffalo (travois for moving them)

Food Summer and winter, the Pawnees hunted buffalo on the Plains. Spring and fall, they stayed in their lodges and grew crops, such as the three sisters.

Clothing Used buffalo skin for clothing, with feathers for decoration

Shelter Chickees-frame made out of logs and roof was covered in leaves or grass. There were no walls, and the floor was built off the ground to keep out water and snakes.
