DISKOS Generic Tool Name Lists Last year, SINAS identified having/using four reference lists of tools and classifications to generic tool names: –PWLS MS Excel, POSC –PWLS Web application, POSC –LookUp list - MS Excel, Unknown –Phase2 List - MS Excel, Unknown

DISKOS Generic Tool Name Lists Phase2 List - MS Excel, Unknown –Sometime in 2000, unpublished working material PWLS Version MS Excel, POSC –Published February Superceded by Version 2.0 LookUp list - MS Excel, Unknown –May 1, 2001 (?), unpublished working material PWLS Version Web application, POSC –Published September Current.

The Lists Year 2000 List - ~ 50 types of tools May 2001 List - ~ 50 types of tools –Only ~ 30 of these match V1.0.1 List – 20 types of tools V2.0 List – the same 20 types of tools –Plus 3 new types of “virtual tools” for oil company generated joined and interpreted curves –With two name changes: SON  AC ASON  AAC

Suggestion Use the PWLS Version 2.0 List. Work with us to expand PWLS to classify additional types of tools. –And to address how to handle tools classified according to any of the other lists. –Set up routine procedure for identifying tools that require classification. We are checking apparent missing tools from Version 2.0 (compared to Version 1.0.1) –Baker Atlas DAC 1670 Digital Acoustic Tool, DAL 1680 Digital Acoustilog Tool, MAC 1668 and MAC2 Multipole Acoustilog Tool.
