Presentation transcript:

“May he strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all his holy ones.”

First, a once-for-all positional separation from the world to God Second, a growth in a person towards holy living, a state of becoming holy. Third, we will be changed into His perfect likeness

Sanctification is the means by which our deliverance or salvation is realized or the process of becoming holy

“Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed - not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence - continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.”

God refines us, sanctifies us, and makes us holy through our circumstances

God refines us, sanctifies us, and makes us holy through the Bible

To be holy, we need to watch what we think about

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Romans 12:2

To be holy, we need to depend on God

To be holy, we need to have integrity and character in all circumstances
