In Lebanon there are some of the worst forms of child labour. Children in Lebanon, especially girls, are planting in picking tobacco. These children are exposed to pesticides, and they are also exposed to musculoskeletal problems. Child Laborers Working in Tobacco Fields
For over 100 years, cigarette manufacturers, and leaf buying companies, have been paying children a low wage to work as child laborers in the tobacco fields. They work as harvesting, and planting the tobacco in the fields. The health risks of tobacco growing threaten tobacco household members.
