Evidence Gathering – Flooding/Drainage/Sewage/Utilities – Duncan – Housing Need - Brian/Adam – Wildlife Barn owl – Heritage – Jackie MKC Heritage Officer As agreed I had a meeting with Nick Crank, MK Council’s Senior Archaeological Officer regarding the heritage sites, excluding the tumuli, moat and monument, which appear on some Sherington maps. He advised that the “heritage sites” were identified from aerial photography and none have been excavated. If planning permission is sought near them then they would have to be excavated, but I’m not sure at whose cost.
Overview Material Agreed at last meeting but not started Further evidence public do not understand what we are doing (New Thursday Club) – 6 of 7 comments not relevant
Consultations with Stakeholders -1 Organisations - Jackie – New Thursday Club (Only 1 of 7 suggestions relevant) More houses for young people – Bowls In the next 5 years we would be looking for more storage space and in the longer term a larger hall to accommodate more members! – Pre-school In the long-term Pre-school said the ideal situation would be to have their own building which would need to be the size of the main hall in the Village Hall. The suggestion is to re-jig the parking and play area at Sherington C of E school and put a new building at the back. Pre-school did ask if it would be possible to put an upstairs on the main hall but this would need to have disabled access and parking would be an issue. In the short-term they will be looking to re-vamp the play area adjacent to the VH. – Youth Club/Historical Society/VH Committee No response yet
