ORGANIZATION The Key to Success in School

BACKPACK Put things where they belong. –Pencils, books folders Clean it out daily.

FOLDERS NOTEBOOKS Have separate folders for each class. Put things in the right folder. Clean them out daily.

STUDY AREA At a table or a desk. Good lighting & free from distractions. Comfortable, but not too comfortable.

STUDY MATERIALS Organized in a desk. In a box labeled with your name. –Paper, pencils, calculator, colored pencils, etc. Put homework in the correct folder a soon as it is finished.

TIME Do homework at the same time each day. Plan at least ½ hour per day. No homework = read. What is urgent and important? –What needs to be done 1 st, 2 nd, and so on? When will I get the rest done?
