Agenda 1. Flowchart & Glossary Explanation 2. Project Basic Information Maintenance 3. Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) of Project 4. Networking of Project 5. Batch Calculation & Adjustment of Project 6. Monitor & Control Project Schedule 7. Project Milestone Setting 8. Management of Other Manufacture System 2

Purpose: Having better project description via WBS and networking. 頁眉 Function Scope Brief Purpose: Having better project description via WBS and networking. Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) Networking of Project Monitor & Calculation Project Schedule 3

WBS Explanation(1/3) What is Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) ? Regarding WBS as “the main propose of project” Kind of main technique to control project scope and basic calculation for cost and resource It is also a framework for breakdown work organization to an suitable level. Thus, it is easier to plan and control. According to the network drawing by definition and relationship of the activity, we can answer how to finish this project. According to the network schedule, we can answer when the project can be finished. Project subtask can be hierarchical decomposition to a subtask or project package by WBS. 4

WBS Explanation(2/3) WBS features: Output-oriented WBS is based on end product or output-oriented to deliverable Suitable to describe its elements by noun 100% rules compliance Down level of decomposition (sub-layer) must be 100% represents up level (parent-layer) element works Making sure elements are delimited and related with one specific work to avoid activities are not been Ignored or repeated

WBS Explanation(3/3) Example: Using WBS in cost management The 5 special applications of WBS in cost management 1. Bottom-up cost estimates 2. Collection of history information such as Integrating purchasing, sales, production, inventory management module…etc. 3. Subject connection diagram 4. Earned Value Management ( EVM) 5. Budget 6

WBS Concept Basic Information Project Definition Work breakdown structure Budget Costs Basic dates Responsibility-oriented organization Network Process-oriented Dates Resources Resource costs 1:N Project Breakdown Structure(WBS) Oriented to responsibility Network Architecture Oriented to workflow 7

Part 1:Basic Data Maintenance 10

Project Management System Parameter Setting(asms300) Setting WBS unique code via setting code length 2. The max WBS code length is 40 11

Expenses No. Maintenance(apji200) Purpose: User Project cost forecast and following reimbursement by Expenses No. conduct attributed for convenience purposes 12

POC Basic Files Obtainment Purpose:Different ways for estimating the lowest-order WBS/ activities in the percentage of completion. Anticipating the completion rate for each activity with the activity of the weight set, the projected upper WBS completion rate, thereby progressively throughout the project's completion rate projections 13

POC Type Explanation 1. Start - Finish Rule: Example: Default 20 at beginning: a. Activity Start Confirmed : Activity Program Completion Rate 20%; Activity Finish Confirmed: Completion Rate 100% b. If Activity Start is not confirmed but the time to reach the plan of working date: Activity Program Completion Rate 20%; If Activity Finish is not confirmed but the time to reach the plan of finishing date: Completion Rate 100% 2. Estimate: Completion progress predictive value is estimated by WBS/ internet. If value is limited, predictive value is NOT allowed to over the limited value before feedback actual schedule. 3. DEGREE OF PROCESSING: Using the schedule check result to be completion progress. 4. TIME proportionality ,level of effort: Time and the percentage of completion is assumed linear relationship, as planned time, the projected ratio of its completion. 14

Part 2:Work Breakdown Structure 15

Project Data Maintenance(1/2) 1. Standard Project - copy & simplify project 2. Project Implement – following actual work Network Select: If network maintenance is necessary in this project budget Control Select:If budget control before purchase is necessary in this case 16

Project Data Maintenance(2/2) Import Way: 1. TOP-DOWN 2. BOTTOM-UP 3. OPEN-PLANNING Estimate Way: 1. FORWARD SCHEDULING 2. BACKWARD SCHEDULING 17

Project WBS information maintenance Activity: Only for the basic level of WBS. To decide if network in this project relates to WBS Project Budget: If it is able to maintain request information of cost forecast at this checkpoint Cost Target: The information of sales and purchase=If it is related with WBS 18

Part 3:Networking 19

Networking WBS part No.: The last level of WBS and with activity are requested 20

Activity detail data maintenance For Calculating corresponded WBS schedule For calculating the earliest start time, the earliest finish time, the last start time and the last finish time 21

PART 5:Project Batch Projections And Adjustments 23

Status modification Explanation (1/2) WBS Status /*0 :Open*/ /*1 :Approved*/ /*2:Frozen */ /*3 :Completion*/ /*4 :Closed */ 1. “Open” WBS status is as open. It is able to build WBS relationship and network activity checkpoint. 2. The WBS last checkpoint is only allowed to link with sales voucher in “Approved” Status. In this status, WBS basic information is NOT allowed to be modified and any sales voucher about this WBS is NOT allowed to be canceled “Approved”. 3. “Frozen” means the last WBS checkpoint is NOT able to be used by new sales voucher. To cancel Frozen will be requested authorization. 4. “Completion”/“Closed” status of WBS last checkpoint can not be quoted by sales voucher. 1 2 3 4 24

Status modification Explanation (2/2) Activity Status /*0 :Open*/ /*1 :Approved*/ /*2:Frozen */ /*3 :Completion*/ /*4 :Closed */ “Open” activity building status is as open. The network information is able to be built in this status. The WBS last checkpoint is only allowed to link with sales voucher in “Approved” Status. In this status, All information about upstream are NOT allowed to be canceled “Approved”. “Frozen” means to temporary freeze approved activity status. It means the activity is NOT able to be used by new sales voucher. “Completion”/“Closed” activity status can not be quoted by sales voucher. 1 2 3 4 25
