The setting takes place in Paris. Now to some people see it as an beautiful town but Andi sees it as a ghost town, and she finds a book ghosts begin to walk out of the pages. So read to see.

The main character is Andi Alphers. She is an young adult who is just on the end with her parents. She has brown Burnett hair and she eyes has that are to die for. She plays a teenager with a lot of drama in her life and she doesn't know if she can handle it all.

The problem is that Andi is very mad at her father for leaving her mother. Her father had moved away and she thinks that if she goes and visits on a vacation with to Paris him that things would be all better. But when she goes to Paris she finds a century old journal and ghosts are walking out of it. And they are haunting Andi for a reason she just cant figure out why.

Andi ends up giving the book back to Alexandria the actual owner. Alexandrine helps end the ghosts and put a stop to what they have done. After all the ghosts are done Andi leaves Paris after her vacation. Andi and her family actually got happier and Andi thinks that since they got happy that the world would be a better place for her and her whole family to be and live.

Andi Alphers is on the edge. She is angry at her father for leaving angry at her mother for not being able to cope, and angry at the world for taking her brother. Truman. Rage and grief are destroying her. And her father has determined that Andi accompanying him to Paris over winter break is the solution to everything. But Paris is a city of ghost for Andi. And when she finds a centuries old journal, the ghosts begin walking off the page. Alexandrine the owner of the journal, knew heartbreak also, and Andi finds comfort in the girls words. Until a midnight journey through the catacombs of Paris, words transcend paper and time, and the past becomes the terrifying present.
