Awakening the Doctor Within An Introduction to Holistic Veterinary Healing Techniques

There are many ways to climb the mountain of health…

Holistic Healing honors the importance of all connections

Each body is unique!

EVERY BODY HAS EMBEDDED INFORMATION TO HELP HEAL ITSELF. THIS IS THE “DOCTOR WITHIN”. THIS IS WHAT WE STRIVE TO AWAKEN WHEN WE TREAT OUR PETS HOLISTICALLY!

THERE ARE MANY WAYS TO DO THIS!

THE GOAL IS TO ACHIEVE BALANCE WITHIN THE BODY

AND WITHIN OUR ENVIRONMENT

YOUR PET IS BORN WITH A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF “LIFE FORCE” OR “ESSENCE”  IN CHINESE MEDICINE WE CALL THIS “JING”.  THE LIFETIME SUPPLY OF JING AT BIRTH COMES FROM THE PARENTS.  THOUGH THERE IS A LIMITED AMOUNT OF THIS CONGENTIAL JING, WE CAN CONSERVE AND ADD TO IT THROUGH THE ENERGY WE GET FROM THE FOOD WE EAT AND THE AIR WE BREATHE.

Over 2000 years ago, a Greek physician said:  Everyone has a doctor in him or her; we just have to help it in its work. The natural healing force within each one of us is the greatest force in getting well. Our food should be our medicine. Our medicine should be our food . Hippocrates Greek physician (460 BC BC)Hippocrates

 Nutrition offers us the building blocks to heal. I Nutrition is an essential part of holistic medicine!

Not only can foods be valued for their nutrients, but they also carry important energetics.  Some foods are warming, while other foods are more cooling  Some foods can help with fluid balance in the body  Some foods can help move stagnant energy  Diets can be chosen to help balance recognized Chinese medical patterns

An older pet with chronic illness will do best with meals that are warm, well- cooked, and soft.

A pet that is itchy will do best with foods that are cool, such as fish, celery or banana.

Too much of even the best food can cause disease.

HEALTH IS ALL ABOUT FINDING AND MAINTAINING BALANCE!

HOLISTIC MEDICINE INVOLVES ADDRESSING THE ROOT OF THE IMBALANCE.  THE INTEGRATION OF WESTERN MEDICAL DIAGNOSTICS AND EFFECTIVE TREATMENTS AND HOLISTIC MODALITIES PROVIDES THE BEST THAT MEDICINE CAN OFFER.

SOME HOLISTIC MODALITIES INCLUDE:  ACUPUNCTURE  THERAPEUTIC MANIPULATION  LOW LEVEL LASER THERAPY  HOMEOPATHY  HERBAL SUPPLEMENTS  NUTRITIONAL SUPPLEMENTS/ VITAMIN THERAPY  GLANDULAR THERAPY  PROLOTHERAPY  ESSENTIAL OIL THERAPY  GEMMOTHERAPY
