Over 7700 years ago Crater lake was a volcano. One time when the volcano erupted, the top collapsed. It eventually filled with water, to for what we know today, Crater Lake. Crater Lake was In 1853 miners from California stopped for supplies, and said to the store owner that they could find the lost cabin gold mine. So they set out on a journey to find it. On June 12 th they found a huge lake they called The Deep Blue Lake, but nobody believed them. So overtime it was forgotten. Then in 1987, Crater lake was found and called a national park.

Some of Crater Lake’s physical features are,  Lots of water  Fresh clean air  And tons of hiking trails

Some of Crater Lake’s Recreational Activities are,  Hiking trails  Skiing  Kayaking  Mountain Biking  House Back Riding  And Snowboarding

Some things being done to preserve Crater Lake are,  The Operation called Friends Of Crater Lake National Park  The Crater Lake National Park Trust  And Crater Lake Ski Patrol
