Mrs. Braby’s Classroom PROCEDURES

Classroom Procedures  When does class begin? ____End?____  No food or drinks.  No electronic devices in sight.  Bring your notebook and a writing utensil every day.  Be seated by chart.  Look for the objectives and warm up instructions on the board.

 Begin to work immediately.  When tardy, enter quietly, sign the book and begin warm up. (Review CNGC tardy policy)  Always raise your hand for permission to speak or to leave the room.  No hall passes during the first or last 10 minutes of class.  Before you raise your hand find a way to ask in Spanish. (Search in your “Frases and instrucciones” poster).  Never leave the room without a hall pass.

 Assignments are collected by passing them from the back to the front.  Make up work and missed work will be in the “make up work” folder.  If you don’t have your homework you will receive a class copy to answer on a separate sheet of paper for half of the credit.  Cheating on assignments or exams will result in a “0” for the assignment and parents will be notified. There are no retakes or make ups when you are caught cheating.

 Teacher’s computer, desk and cabinets are off limits  You need permission before you take textbooks, dictionaries, materials or use the computers.  Always listen and never talk when the teacher is talking.  If you do not have materials you will receive a disciplinary action. The teacher will provide paper and pencil with collateral.  Clean up starts 1 minute before dismissal  Teacher dismisses the class “not the bell”. Teacher will say “adios”.

Consequences for refusing to follow proper class procedures are 1 st incident you will receive a verbal warning 2 nd time parent phone call 3 rd time parent phone call and any of the following disciplinary actions:  Conference with teacher or  Behavior contract  Move to a different desk  Time out with another teacher  Detention  Conference with parents  Referral to the assistant principals’ office
