Who is MOSES?

The Israelites had been traveling in the desert for about 3 months when they came to Mount Sinai. They were going to stay there for a while. Moses got unpacked and decided to walk up the mountain to talk to God

What do we do when Abouna or a deacon start reading the Bible during the liturgy?

So we have to be very respectful when it comes to listening to the words of God! That’s why, Moses came down to tell the people to have a bath and to clean all their clothes to get ready to listen to the words of God

On the third day after Moses spoke to God, the isrealites starte seeing light and thunder and smoke around the mountain of Sainai and even the mountain itself shoke!!

The Israelites tempted to get closer too the mountains to find out what is going on, but God told Moses to warn the Israelites from getting closer cause the mountain now is a special place since God is present in it

So wait a second, what did God want from Moses?

God wanted to put rules for His people to follow in order to protect them, that’s why after 40 days God gave Moses the ten commandments

Quick question!!! Before the nativity feast, we have to fast 43 days, why??? 40 days  the 40 days moses had to spend on the mountains to receive the 10 commandments 3  the 3 days that Egyptians had to fast so the mountain of mokkatam move from its place

Verse of the day: Your word is a lamp to my feet. And a light to my path. (Psalm 119:105)
