Commission on Teacher Credentialing Ensuring Educator Excellence 18 AASEs Based on Currently Approved Education Specialist Teacher Preparation Programs If a program sponsor with currently approved Education Specialist teacher preparation program(s) elects to offer one or more of the AASE programs, the institution may now begin to offer the AASE program based the corresponding preparation program

Commission on Teacher Credentialing Ensuring Educator Excellence 19 Transitioning Preliminary Programs or Offering AASE Programs based on a currently approved Preliminary Program

Commission on Teacher Credentialing Ensuring Educator Excellence 20 Plan to Transition Submit the 2-3 page “Plan to Transition” a minimum of 30 days prior to the transition date. A plan needs to be submitted for EACH transitioning program. 1. Please describe the process your program engaged in to address the modified standards. 2. Describe the changes that your program will be making to your courses and field experiences to address the modified standards. Please also provide your timeline for implementing your newly revised courses and field experiences.
