Animals Unit 1 Theme

Kinds of Animals? Mammals – animals who drink milk from their mother. Fish – swim and breathe water. Reptiles – are cold blooded and lay eggs. Birds – lay eggs, have feathers and most fly. Amphibians – can breathe above and below the water, can live above and below water and also lay eggs.

Where do they live? Animals live in the oceans, forests, mountains, grasslands, tundra, rivers and lakes, and many other places.

All Kinds of Animals….. Animals come in all shapes and sizes. Many animals look alike and many look very different.

What do they eat? Some animals are carnivores. (They eat meat.) Some animals are herbivores. (They eat plants.) Some animals are omnivores. (They eat both meat and plants.)
