Rotary International President’s Message

Good News  Senate Resolution 473  RI & Rotarians contributed $1B+ to fight polio  Polio is out of India and endemic in only three countries

RI President Sakuji Tanaka  Noteworthy project: two-man neighborhood cleanup evolved into a 59-group communitywide cleanup twice per year.  He has a personal karaoke record: 1 evening, 54 consecutive songs without a break in 3 hours!

“Peace, in all of the ways that we can understand it, is a real goal and a realistic goal for Rotary. Peace is not something that can only be achieved through agreements, by governments, or through heroic struggles. It is something that we can find and that we can achieve, every day and in many simple ways.”
