Reflection The story that is portrayed in my photo essay is the authentic cool, that I found in my house. Since a very young age I have always been interested in home decor by using modern and unique pieced for designing. My house has just been recently remodeled by my mother and myself. I helped out a lot in the decision making and the design choices. The pictures, that I took, represent the ‘’ coolness ‘’ of interior designing and the use of modernism and ‘’ chalet look ‘’ to create a different and eye catching look. My favorite photo in this essay is the picture of my room. The reason why, is because everything in my room represents my style of decorating. Modern and unique. I like the use of different patterns and textures that are now trending with solid colors, to not overkill. Everything must be kept clean and classy. My favorite element in my room is the white brick wall that stands behind my bed. I just absolutely love the look that it gives. It is a rare and stunning focal point in a room. I chose to order my pictures from the entrance of house flowing through the living room and kitchen. Then descending downstairs to my room. I chose to portray it like this to show the flow of the house. Every room that is presented, is followed with a couple of different pictures showing my favorite decorations that I find authentically cool in itself essentially. Everything that I display in this photo essay is nothing that has been labeled corporate and/or commoditized cool. Everything has been created and modified to look nice and appealing to the eye. I think that my photo essay does tell a story in itself. For me, it represents the hard work and effort that my mother and I have put into this house. From the big impact details to the small unique ones, everything has been thought through and analyzed thoroughly. This essay is also the story of our success in accomplishing our goals by creating a look that my mother and I would be proud to show.
